Floodstream is a short dance film premiering in October 2020, co-choreographed and directed by Erin McNulty and NYC-based dance artist Suzannah Dessau.
The film was commissioned by the Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation Women in Film Fellowship; and will premiere at the 2020 Shawna Shea Film Festival alongside a prestigious array of independent films from around the world.
Collaborating artists include Christopher Di Nunzio (Cinematographer, Editor) and Josh Knowles (Composer, Musician). The film is currently in pre-production – stay tuned for behind-the-scenes peeks and ticket information!
Exploring the toxicity of giving and taking beyond the limits of equilibrium, and the weighted aftermath of energy loss, Floodstream paints a haunting portrait of an imbalanced relationship that evokes the unfolding environmental crisis and the potential for recovery from any parasitic partnership.
This project was funded in part by New England Foundation for the Arts‘ New England Dance Fund, with generous support from the Aliad Fund at the Boston Foundation.
